Paradise is always ...
Miroslav Hašek, Silvie Milková, Pavel Mrkus – Paradise is always a matter of choice
Undoubtedly, the year 2020 prepared a surprising life experience for each of us. This curatorial project is a kind of a result of thinking in the quarantine clause. The paths and landscapes of the artistic imagination are wide-ranging and, if they have borders, very relaxed. These fantastic environments are made up of situations, stories and images that do not seem to tell ordinary reality. The exhibition is inspired by the poem Emily Dickinson, which gave the whole exhibition its name (translation by Eva Klimentová). The exhibition will mainly present such works in which we can feel a subtle vibration as in the moments between sleep and wakefulness, at the interface of day and night or two clashing moods or entities. It's like that and it's different. The elusiveness and volatility in such works are expressed through intermittent narration, over-the-top view, material used, medium, or chosen point of view.
