Magdaléna is mainly concerned with surveying places in landscapes and environmental issues. In recent years, she abandoned the technique of painting and drawing and works mainly with sound and text. She is inspired by the concepts of "deep listening" and acoustic ecology. Her works often take the form of site-specific sound installations or sound essays that she compiles from field recordings, spoken texts and music. She is interested in the natural, cultural, political and socio-economic stories of places. She was born in the landscape of the Upper Silesian coal basin near Ostrava. She also reflects the impact of industrial extraction of fossil fuels and raw materials on the landscape and living nature on a planetary scale and thinking about the climate crisis. Magdaléna graduated from the Faculty of Arts of the University of Ostrava in 2015 and from the Kunstakademie in Trondheim in 2018. In the years 2013-18, she worked in the independent scene as a singer-songwriter under the moniker moin moin. In recent years, she has established herself in the international scene of experimental music. She lives and works in Trondheim, Norway.
