Radiomap – river landscape installation considers the river as a force that is shaping the local landsapce, as a poetic engine for the gallery installation. It consists of a streaming studio, video projection and a sound sculpture constructed from speakers and cables.

The exhibition "Outside the gallery! Art in Czech public space after 1989" was prepared last year by the Jaroslav Fragner Gallery together with theorist Petr Kratochvíl and sculptor Petra Vlachynská. It presents over sixty realizations in public space – from events to temporary interventions to permanently placed works of art, as well as a selection of works or happenings from the 1960s to the 1980s, as well as nine art festivals that have significantly influenced public space for many years.

From 2015 to 2020 the Austrian artist Reinhold Zisser transformed an abandoned wooden church into an meta installation called Notgalerie. In this process he not only turned a house built for praying and religious worship into a place for contemporary art, but turned the building, and each single part of it into an artwork itself.

Jiří Příhoda: intervention Roštejn Castle Sculpture Park

intervention in the covered Renaissance courtyard of the gallery

Jiří Příhoda prepared an architecturally conceived intervention in the Renaissance courtyard of the gallery, looking back at the convolution of performances and interventions covered by the theme of the Roštejna Sculpture Park from the beginning of his work. Jiří Příhoda is originally from Vysočina, but today he belongs to internationally successful artists.

The project deals with an interesting chapter of Czech fine art, in which three cultural-historical phenomena intersected: the field trip of O. Nejedlý's landscape school at the Prague Academy, Josef Hubáček's trip to Corsica and the successful travels of the table company connected with O. Nejedlý's studio, the so-called Pipanovci , in Corsica, as well as the subsequent trips of the studio of O. Nejedlý to the same place, as documented by the chronicler of Pipanovci, Silvestr Hipman, or for example from the estate of the painter František Michl.

The Vysočina Regional Gallery in Jihlava prepared, in cooperation with the Regional Gallery of Fine Arts in Zlín, an exhibition of Max Švabinský, a key representative of the Czech art scene at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. The project, commemorating the 150th anniversary of the birth of this versatile artist and educator, focuses on his extensive graphic work, which is part of the collections of both galleries.
