The exhibition is a sound and image probe into a significant, albeit small, nature reserve in South Moravia. However, this is an example of a specific location, which suggests a situation in which the landscape is not only in our country, but also on a global scale. Plaček's forest, and the flowing river Šatava around it, is the last remnant of ancient floodplain forests in the catchment area of the confluence of two rivers. The habitat disappeared as a result of construction work on the controversial Nové Mlýny waterworks. Plaček's Forest about 30 years ago. The forest is part of the protected reserve Vranovický and Plačkův with an area of 293 ha and Plaček's forest itself is about 2 km north of the confluence of Svratka with Jihlava and 3.5 km from the middle Novomlýnská reservoir. The forest is composed of oak ash trees and willow alders, which have survived the consequences of the lower groundwater level, and is an example of a unique ecosystem in the area of the original, unregulated Šatava riverbed and a system of blind branches, ponds and wetlands.
