Ester Knapová's painting and drawing works (*1993) are characterized by the fragility and intimacy of expression as well as a sense of dream introspection. Memory and memories are awakened by associations from specific places (interplay of colors, lights, smells, sound, etc.), which call for a new stylistic specialization and painterly interpretations. The layers of memory stored as "realities" in photographs thus meet those layers of "atmospheric" memories that contain specific physical places that we have repeatedly visited since childhood and to which we return for some reason. It pulls us there. Something is constantly abiding there and permeating time.
