Art plein air Přibyslav 2022
25/07 – 31/07/2022

It is a week-long meeting of young painters, students and recent graduates of art schools in the inspiring landscape of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. This summer symposium is mainly focused on intensive painting outdoors in the open countryside or in the streets of Přibyslav. At the end, the results of joint work are presented to the public in a small exhibition. The main purpose of the event is the sharing of motivation, experience and the development of personal attitudes based on the common experience of outdoor painting.

A foreign guest from Germany was invited to participate in this year's edition - a young twenty-three-year-old painter Samuel Müller from Hülben. The subject of his work is exterior painting, while he deals with a wide range of possible motifs - from free natural scenery to parts of urban development. He succeeds in updating or extending the tradition of German plein air, which began with the work of the painters Max Slevogt and Lovis Corinth in the 19th century and, like elsewhere in the world, continues continuously throughout the 20th century and into the present day.
