After three years, when this opening took place in our gallery, we handed over the imaginary scepter to Nové Město na Moravě. And of course we couldn't miss it!
The opening took place in the attic of the Horácká gallery, where the FIBER ART SPACE exhibition is currently underway, which presents the work of current students, graduates and teachers of the Textile Design Studio at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava.
In this inspiring environment, with the pleasant musical accompaniment of the present band and with the abundant participation of artists and partners of the project, including the governor of the region, Filip Prokop, the coordinator of this year's open days, in cooperation with his colleague Vendula Marková from the Havlíčkův Brod Museum, which is the organizer of the whole event, started a Saturday afternoon full of art and friendly meetings.
Part of the opening was also the exhibit opening of photographs of selected studios and art spaces involved in this year's edition by Irena Armutidisová.
We congratulate our colleagues from the Havlíčkův Brod Museum and the Horácka Gallery on a successful event, and we are keeping our fingers crossed that this year's open days, which will take place on October 7 and 8, will be as successful as its opening ceremony.
Nové Město na Moravě is little further from us, so we used this opportunity to thoroughly tour all current exhibitions and also the wonderful spaces of the Horácka Gallery, as well as to prepare the next edition of our already traditional map (not only) for families with children called Discovering Jihlava and Surroundings. Gallery educator Pavlína Pitrová picked out another interesting place in the Nové Město square, which she plans to put on the map in 2024. What place is this? You'll have to wait another year for that. ;-)
