A meeting will take place regularly twice a year in one of the regional museums or galleries. In the spring of this year, for example, we visited the Art Gallery in Havlíčkův Brod. At the beginning of November, we accepted the invitation of our colleague Tereza Hrbková from the museum in Moravské Budějovice, a branch of the museum in Třebíč.

The newly reconstructed museum is located in the premises of the city castle. Its exposition is divided into two parts - The Crafts and Trades of South-West Moravia and The story of the city and castle. Tereza guided us through both parts and showed us what educational programs follow the individual exhibition halls. The Crafts and Trades of South-West Moravia exhibition is enriched by a children's line, which means that a practical activity related to individual crafts is prepared in each hall. Children can thus try out how bakers knit buns, watchmakers set the time, or try on different headgear at the hatters, in which they can take a picture of themselves and send the picture directly to their e-mail. In addition, it is possible to visit the exhibition space, which the museum staff plan to change every year. Here we viewed the exhibition entitled Crisscrossing the depository. There is also a library in the museum building, which is open to the public.

The so-called Meat Stores are part of the castle tour of the exhibition The Crafts and Trades of South-West Moravi. These form a separate object, which is located in close proximity to the castle. This exceptionally well-preserved building dates from 1839 and you can find here the workshops of a butcher, a baker, a file maker, a locksmith, a watchmaker, a tailor, a hatter, a shoemaker and others. All of them are furnished to the period, and thanks to this, the work of individual craftsmen can be traced and described in detail. Here, too, our colleague Tereza prepares educational programs for schools and kindergartens.

At the end of our meeting, we shared information about organizing day camps. We have extensive experience with them in Třebíč and at our Jihlava gallery, which is why we were able to pass on advice and observations to our colleague from Havlíčkův Brod, who is just getting ready for them. At the same time, we clarified the direction in which we want to move our meetings forward. Above all, sharing and mutual connection are important for all of us. We are in this together.
