The Little Indians exhibition is a selection of author‘s works on the phenomenon of children's play. The decisive factor here is the reflection of a "different conception of time". Time and place are mainly a space for adventure, an open game principle that ignores everything else or, on the contrary, consumes it. The world here appears as an immediate narrative structure that grows and regroups depending on the direct involvement of who is inside the events. Imagination merges with fiction. Common realities and attributes are operatively transformed into magical tools, banal places into exotic frames for fateful scenes. Nature is experienced as if from within. Excitement, emotions, ecstatic ecstasy, but also dreaming, concentration or reflection. All this is reflected in the faces of the children in the paintings of Ester Knapová.
