The library of the Vysočina Regional Gallery in Jihlava is open to the public and is focused on specialist literature on visual arts. It currently contains more than 3,700 monographs, over 3,500 exhibition catalogs, as well as art and culture magazines (for example Dílo, Hollar, Tvar, Umění, Volné směry, Výtvarné úmeni, etc.). In 2005, the library was moved to new premises, where visitors have access to a quiet, peaceful environment, suitable for undisturbed study (the library provides on-site loans only, it is not possible to take the materials home).

The library contains literature from the following fields:

  • Architecture

  • Photography

  • Graphic arts

  • Drawing

  • Folk Art

  • Painting

  • Sculpture

  • Applied Art

In addition to monographs, encyclopedias and various specialized dictionaries for individual fields, the latest issues of the magazines like Art+Antiques, Umění, Prostor Zlín, the yearbook of the art market Art+, Flash Art and Artikl are available to visitors.
